One Time DONATION To Our Featured Non-Profit: Sulala Animal Rescue (Gaza)

Good Rebel is deeply honoured to feature Sulala Animal Rescue in Gaza, Palestine as the beneficiary of our ongoing fundraiser. Sulala was founded by Saeed Al Err in the early 2000's, in response to the overwhelming number of stray and sick street animals in Gaza. Sulala became a registered charity in 2006, and Saeed and his children continue to make daily missions to the streets to collect injured and sick animals and feed colonies of strays, not missing a day even in times of bombardment.
Sulala currently cares for over rescue 400 dogs in a large semi-open air shelter in the Gaza. The animals are lovingly and attentively cared for by Saeed and a very small number of volunteers, though their situation is precarious during times of aerial bombardment due to the exposed nature of the space. Nevertheless, Sulala's team works bravely to ensure the dogs are given as much comfort and safety as possible. They also care for over 100 rescued cats, who reside in the homes of Saeed and his family members, as they do not have access to a shelter space for them. The care and compassion provided to the animals fortunate enough to find refuge with Sulala is unparalleled and humbles us deeply.
Sulala also organizes animal welfare education sessions for school groups, teaching lessons about compassion and caring for animals, and raising awareness of the importance of animal welfare in the community.

Since 2016, Good Rebel has been selecting different non-profit groups that advances animal welfare, to which we make a donation. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, our monthly donation consisted of a share of the proceeds from our house-made vegan sandwiches. One of the impacts on our business of the pandemic was our pivoting of our business model, which included ending our sandwich production. However, we are still committed to using our platform and resources to supporting the non-profit groups that are working to make the world a better place.
To support the current beneficiary, simply add the $5 donation to your cart, with the quantity you would like- the minimum amount is of course $5, and you can add as many multiples of $5 as you would like.
At the end of the fundraising period (formerly 3 months long, but extended as needed during ongoing periods of crisis ie. active conflict), Good Rebel will match the amount raised, dollar for dollar, and electronically remit the funds raised to the beneficiary.
